ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announces the premiere of its new original comedy series, “LA BANDA,” a story that blends dark humor and drama to explore how far people are willing to go when they feel they have nothing left to lose.
Starring Miguel Rodarte, Paulina Gaitán, Tessa Ia and Aldo Escalante, the series will premiere on July 24, exclusively on ViX Premium, with all eight episodes available at launch. The cast also features Fernando Bonilla, Aida López, Raúl Briones, Juan Daniel García Treviño, and Martín Saracho, with special appearances by Juan Carlos Colombo and Jesús Ochoa.
The story follows Rafael, who is being questioned by Paloma, a mysterious woman, as the events that led to thecreation of La Banda gradually unfold.
Everything changes when Víctor Reyes, owner of Sanitarios Reyes, names Rafael as his successor and reveals hisplan to leave the company to its employees. However, Víctor’s sudden death and the arrival of his son, Andy, a reckless heir, place the future of both the company and the entire Valle Soleado community at risk.
Faced with the threat of losing everything, Rafael betrays his own principles and, together with his wife Marcela,who harbors a hidden past, as well as Camilo and Nina, forms an improvised criminal gang with one clear goal: to save the company.
What begins as a desperate plan quickly spirals into a series of increasingly dangerous decisions involvingbotched kidnappings, robberies, and unexpected alliances that will change their lives forever.
Amid betrayals, divided loyalties, and constant mistakes, La Banda will face extreme situations where everydecision could be their last. Just when all hope seems lost, a new enemy emerges, forcing them to pull off thebiggest and most dangerous heist of their lives.
