El Padrinito Toys drops all-new corrido, “Supersnake,” featuring rising Denver talent Clemente y Su Elexion Privada.
The corrido tumbado draws from truck culture and a fast-paced lifestyle, pairing the genre’s storytelling with references to ambition and success. Taking its name from Ford’s high-performance Super Snake truck, the song captures the feeling of a late-night drive with lyrics centered around luxury, success, and life on the road.
Co-written by El Padrinito Toys and Cesar Zazueta, “Supersnake” brings together their songwriting styles to capture the sound and imagery behind the track. A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Zazueta has earned recognition within Música Mexicana, including at the BMI Awards for his work on Ivan Cornejo’s “La Curiosidad.” His contribution to “Supersnake” adds to the track’s corrido tumbado sound.
Directed by Torohfilms, the accompanying music video brings the world of “Supersnake” to life through sleek, nighttime visuals centered around truck culture. The visual follows El Padrinito Toys and Clemente y Su Elexion Privada as they cruise through the city, mixing performance scenes with shots of the Super Snake, luxury details and the energy of a night on the road. The video reflects the song’s feeling while tying its references to cars, fashion and success into the visual.
