La Nena Cantina, a modern Mexican dining destination, is set to open this summer at The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The new restaurant, which is the third in the La Nena Cantina family, opens in July. From the team behind the successful Frida Mexican restaurants, La Nena Cantina brings vibrant energy and bold flavors to the south campus of L.A.’s performing arts center, reinforcing a commitment to a warm and welcoming culinary scene that reflects the culturally rich local dining landscape.
La Nena Cantina, created by celebrated restaurateur Vicente Del Rio, brings coastal-inspired cuisine and handcrafted cocktails all made from scratch to guests dining before shows and to the broader community. Diners will find many of the beloved dishes from the restaurant’s Malibu and Hollywood locations, including Mole Negro, Tiradito de Hamachi, La Nena Molcajete and Tacos Malibu, as well as signature elements such as the tableside guacamole and handmade tortillas. The restaurant will debut exclusive offerings created just for The Music Center, from specialty premium seasonal cocktails to specially curated pre-show menu options.
Vicente Del Rio of La Nena Cantina said:
We are incredibly excited to bring La Nena Cantina to The Music Center and be part of such an iconic cultural destination in Los Angeles.
This expansion allows us to share the vibrant flavors and coastal spirit that define our food with a new audience, while also creating something unique for the community. We look forward to welcoming guests with a dining experience that complements the creativity and energy of the experiences on The Music Center campus.
The opening of La Nena Cantina marks an exciting new chapter for hospitality at The Music Center. The 150-seat restaurant joins the roster of dining establishments Angelenos and visitors can discover at L.A.’s performing arts center, including Abernethy’s, Kendall’s Brasserie, The Mullin Wine Bar, Sip & Sonder and the recently opened Plaza Grill.
