Northgate González Market is betting on something no brand can buy for the World Cup: CULTURE.
They’ve teamed up with various cultural icons for an all-new campaign called “Familia Fútbol.” It features Mexican legends, including boxing champion Julio César Chávez, legendary goalkeeper Jorge Campos, luchador El Hijo del Santo, beloved actress and entertainer Angélica María, and Scarlett Camberos, Mexican women’s national team star and digital powerhouse. This star roster is complete with the iconic Pedro Infante, whose legacy provides emotional warmth and nostalgia.
The Familia Fútbol spot, directed by Eduardo Avila of Hazlo Mango Films, captures what happens off the soccer field– families gathering, food being prepared, and the shared emotion of watching the game together.
Northgate Market will release a custom Familia Fútboljersey, a piece inspired by Aztec and Zapotec cultures, organically integrating the letter “G” as a symbol of identity. On the back, the number 12 and the name GONZÁLEZ will be displayed to represent the 12th player, the fans who bring the energy, who feel every moment, and who never stop believing.
