Miley Cyrus Sued for $300M for Copyright Infringement

Uh, oh, looks like Miley Cyrus is in a bit of legal trouble.

Jamaican artist Flourgon, whose real name is Michael May, is suing Cyrus for $300 Million for copyright infringement. According to the suit, Flourgon is suing Cyrus over her track “We Can’t Stop,” the suit filed on Tuesday in New York City, claims Cyrus’ megahit borrows from Flourgon’s 1988 song “We Run Things.”

The track features a lyric that goes “We run things, things don’t run we,” which coincidentally, Flourgon’s song features lyrics that go…”We run things, things no run we.” The lawsuit also mentions RCA Records, and Mike WiLL Made-It, who produced and co-wrote “We Can’t Stop.”
