Los Ángeles Azules Deliver a Sold-Out Cumbia Party at the YouTube Theater in L.A.

Celebrating their 40th anniversary, Mexican legends, Los Ángeles Azules brought their 40 Años Tour to the all-new YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, in Inglewood to be exact right in between Sofi Stadium.

The dance-filled night kicked off with “Las Maravillas de La Vida,” they performed all their biggest hits including “El Listón de Tu pelo,” “Cómo Te Voy a Olvidar,” “Mi Niña Mujer,” “La Cumbia del Infinito,” “20 Rosas,” to say that the sold-out audience was up and dancing is an understatement, they were dancing in the hallways, dancing in the walkways, even dancing while waiting in line to buy drinks. If you don’t have people dancing while in line waiting to buy drinks, then you must be doing something wrong.

The nearly two-hour-long show also featured special guests, including rock legend Jay de La Cueva from Moderatto, he joined Los Ángeles Azules on stage to sing “Happy Birthday” to them and a cumbia/rock infused rendition of the timeless classic “17 Años.” Mexican singer-songwriter and total sweetheart, Ximena Sariñana joined Los Ángeles Azules on stage and performed “Mis Sentimientos.” Puerto Rican superstar, Guaynaa danced his way on to the stage and performed the biggest song of 2021 “Cumbia a La Gente.” A rousing standing ovation for all the special guests, definitely a night to remember.

Let’s be real for a brief moment, YouTube Theater could possibly be one of the best venues for events in L.A., the sound quality is exceptional, yes, it’s a bit small in capacity (6,000 seats), but that’s better than a big venue. It feels much more intimate and you feel the energy of the crowd and artist even more, plus the architecture of the inside and outside is breathtaking. YouTube Theater is definitely in our top five list of L.A. venues for events.

Los Ángeles Azules will be heading back to the YouTube Theater on September 24 for what is sure to be another SOLD-OUT show, be sure to get your tickets, they are going fast!
