There’s a new Batgirl in Gotham, star of the hit musical In The Heights and a Latin pop superstar, Leslie Grace has landed the role of Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl in the highly-anticipated HBO Max movie.
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah based on a script from Christina Hodson and produced by Kristin Burr.
Details about the film are being kept under wraps, but what we do know is, Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, will be the character behind the cape in this version. Gordon is the most established version of the Batgirl character and was first introduced in 1961 as Betty Kane.
