J Balvin is The King of 2021

To say that J Balvin is having one of the best year’s of his career is an understatement, that’s why, Entertainment Rocks aka #EROCKS, is naming J Balvin…the King of 2021.

José Álvaro Osorio Balvín, better known as J Balvin, a Colombian singer-songwriter, producer, philanthropist, and overall bad ass (“chingon”) has reached that level of legend status like Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Tego Calderon, Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel just to name a few. Reaching this type of status is not easy, but it is reachable, J Balvin has proven that.

Having sold over 35 million records (albums and singles) worldwide, J Balvin is showing no signs of stopping. In 2021 alone, J Balvin has released seven chart topping singles, you read that correctly, seven chart topping singles including “Que Locura,” “Ma’G,” “Qué Más Pues ft. Maria Becerra,” “Otra Noche Sin Ti ft. Khalid,” “Tu Veneno,” “Perra ft. Tokischa,” and the global phenomenon “In Da Ghetto ft. Skrillex.” If that alone doesn’t indicate King status, then his other accomplishments will definitely seal the deal…

  • J Balvin teamed up with Pollen and created his very own music festival ‘J BALVIN: NEON,’ but it wasn’t just one festival, in total it is now up to three, J BALVIN: NEON Las Vegas, J BALVIN: NEON Punta Cana, and in 2022, J BALVIN: NEON Cancun.
  • Miller Lite x J Balvin teamed up to create a limited-edition beer can that features Balvin’s signature lightning bolt and neon aesthetic, there will also be a merch collab dropping soon, no word yet when, but we will keep you up to date. Side note: I received a can of the limitd edition miller lite x J Balvin can, watch it below!

  • J Balvin teamed up with GUESS to star in the GUESS x FriendsWithYou campaign. FriendsWithYou is the fine art collective of Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III, in partnership since 2002 with the sole purpose of spreading the positive message of Magic, Luck, and Friendship™.
  • J Balvin teamed up with director Matthew Heineman on The Boy From Medellín, the film follows the four-time Latin Grammy winner as he prepares for the most important concert of his life. If you haven’t watch The Boy From Medellín, what are you waiting for? It’s available to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, be prepared, you will cry but you’ll also be inspired by Balvin’s story and the legacy he wants to leave.
  • J Balvin‘s sixth studio album, JOSE, is now available. It is without a doubt one of the best pop-reggaeton album’s of 2021, featuring previously released tracks “Qué Más Pues?,” “Otra Noche Sin Ti,” “One Day (Un Dia),” but the album’s standout, gut wrenching track is “Querido Rio,” a song he dedicates to his son, not confirmed but fans and yours truly are speculating that Balvin’s son is named Rio. A beautiful track, from a beautiful human being both inside and out.

It is for all these reasons that we have decided to name J Balvin, the king of 2021.
