Clemente y Su Elexion Privada bring Denver to the forefront of the corrido malandro movement with their new single “130XDNV.”
Comprised of Clemente (lead vocals), Bryan (requinto), and Izzy (tololoche), the group was formed in Denver, Colorado, while maintaining strong roots in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. Over the past few years, they have independently built a growing fan base that has led to more than 20 live performances and the development of a distinctive sound within Mexican music.
“130XDNV” serves as one of the earliest examples of what Clemente has coined as Corrido Malandro, a style that blends traditional sierreño corrido elements with the storytelling, attitude, and perspective he developed during more than three years in the Spanish-language rap scene.
The song captures a lifestyle defined by constant movement, ambition, and speed, using Denver and its connection to the Mexican-American community as its backdrop. Throughout the track, references to highways, travel, private gatherings, and life in the fast lane paint a picture of the world that inspires the group.
With “130XDNV,” Clemente y Su Elexion Privada continue to strengthen a proposal that represents the intersection of Mexican-American culture, Latin rap roots, and the evolution of contemporary corridos, bringing the name of Denver to new audiences while building a path of their own within the genre.
