The wait is finally over. After keeping so much under wraps, Xolalpa has graced the internet with the very first official teaser for his highly anticipated SVGS starring Vadhir Derbez and Elyfer Torres.
SVGS: On the night of their anniversary, a young couple is tested by superficial forces.
Although much hasn’t been said about the plot, the teaser makes it clear. It’s a dramedy in the making. In just 45 seconds, we witness a couple in love dancing, crying, arguing, laughing and to the point of death when one of them unleashes a gun to the other. Something to feel familiar about, if you’ve ever been in a toxic relationship. But enough speculating. We’ll just have to wait for the official trailer to drop this week!
Our sources tell us that Xolalpa is gearing up for a Summer 2022 release. After having Your Iron Lady in contention for a Golden Globe (2020) and MELANCOLiA at Cannes (2021), this is one hell of a comeback for the prolific filmmaker who’s been rather quiet on social media these past couple of months, and now we know why.
