ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced that the hit original series, EL GALLO DE ORO, will premiere its second season on January 12. All 10 episodes will be available exclusively on the service’s premium plan on the same day.
In the second season, “La Caponera” (Lucero) and Dionisio (José Ron) try to enjoy their new romance, but Lorenzo (Plutarco Haza) doesn’t stop until he finds them. The couple bet their lives on Bernarda’s luck and achieve unimaginable success. But everything in life has a price, and greed will put them in even greater danger when they realize that their great love, the beautiful “Pinzona” (Diana Haro), will be the obsession of all their enemies.
EL GALLO DE ORO is an adaptation of the short novel by Juan Rulfo, one of the most important references of universal literature of the 20th century and precursor of magical realism. The story takes place in Mexico in the 1940s, when the convulsion of the revolution was still shaking and the poverty and changes it brought about were being overcome.
