It’s official, Rihanna’s 2012 anthem “Diamonds” has earned diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
“Diamonds” has accumulated 10 million equivalent song units. According to the RIAA, one equivalent song unit is equal to a single digital song sale, or 150 on-demand audio and/or video streams.
“Diamonds” is Rihanna’s third single to reach diamond certification, the other two song that reached the achievement are “Love the Way You Lie” collaboration with Eminem and her 2011 “We Found Love” collaboration with Calvin Harris.
