Tyler Perry’s Madea is Back in “Madea’s Destination Wedding,” Streaming July 11 on Netflix

Everyone’s favorite matriarch is back, Madea is heading to the Bahama’s in Madea’s Destination Wedding, the 13th Madea film — and second to be released in creative partnership with Netflix, streaming on July 11th, 2025.

Tyler Perry writes, directs, stars, and produces, with Angi Bones and Tony Strickland also producing for Tyler Perry Studios. Niya Palmer, Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Terri J. Vaughn serve as executive producers.

Following the astronomical success of Madea’s debut on Netflix (A Madea Homecoming, which spent four weeks at No.1 on the Global Top 10 Films List when it came out in 2022), Madea’s Destination Wedding promises the same raucous comedy the iconic character has become known for.

In Madea’s Destination Wedding – Madea’s nephew Brian and his ex-wife Debrah are shocked to learn their daughter Tiffany is engaged to a rapper she met on a yacht — and the wedding is in two weeks. Madea and her crew head to the Bahamas, where familial tensions and hijinks ensue.
