Tegan and Sara have done it yet again, “Faded Like A Feeling” is another triumphant track off their forthcoming tenth studio album, Crybaby available October 21st.
“Faded Like A Feeling” is classic Tegan and Sara, getting us all up in our feels. A track about losing the love of your life, this is what they said about the track on their Instagram account:
I wrote the song last summer/fall under the spell of the changing seasons. It began as a love song then evolved into more of a loss song. Just as the seasons can’t stop themselves from changing, nor can I; nor can anyone else. Part of the unspoken agreement of entering into a relationship is accepting that one day, all the feelings you had might fade. Yet we take the risk anyway.
The video directed by Mark Myers was shot at a park in Riverside, it features Tegan and Sara swinging back and forth on the swings, contemplating and singing the track. It’s quite heartbreaking, but beautiful at the same time, if Crybaby is going to feature more tracks like this, then we will be on a rollercoaster of emotions and we’re ready for the ride.
