While paying homage to the original, Smith & Thell add a folk twist to this iconic pop song with melodic harmonies, upbeat strumming patterns, and entrancing vocal delivery.

After years of empty dance floors and isolation, we found ourselves jamming to this song backstage with our band after a show. We realized it sounded beautiful with different chords too and the lyrics felt so accurate after all this time away from everything. Whitney is probably the best singer of all time, and this song is one of the best pop songs ever written. We hope that our version will bring you joy and warmth after what seems like the longest winter ever.
