Rising stars Raury Rolander and Sebastian Cintron to star in Xolalpa’s ‘Union Station’

Mighty Aphrodite Pictures has confirmed Raury Rolander and Sebastian Cintron are set to star in Xolalpa’s 7th film titled ‘Union Station.’

After a long and extensive casting process that involved over 200 submissions on TikTok and a year of keeping it quiet, the prolific filmmaker will be returning to set this coming fall, and we can’t begin to tell you how excited we are.

According to IMDb, pre-production for ‘Union Station’ has begun. Per usual, the plot is being kept under wraps, but sources close to the director have described the indie picture as a “Latinx Queer Rom-Com.”

In a time where inclusion and representation for the Latinx community continues to be woefully inadequate, once again, Xolalpa is putting his money where his mouth is by keeping his promise of making films for and by his community.

Rolander, started his acting career on stage with musical theater productions, in Mexico. Most recently made a transition to television by giving life to ‘Poncho’ in Telemundo’s ‘Silvana Sin Lana.’

While this is Cintron’s feature film debut, he is no stranger to the industry. Cintron earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in New York at St. John’s University. After college he moved on to work for CBS’s Entertainment Tonight in Studio City and embarked on hosting red carpet premieres and award shows. Now, Cintron plans to take his talents to the big screen.

We are told that principal photography will begin as early as October in Los Angeles. The script is written and directed by Xolalpa and is being produced by his production company Mighty Aphrodite Pictures, eyeing a 2023 release.

Xolalpa is managed by Val Valdez at Avatar Entertainment. Cintron is managed by Andrea Courtney at Established Artists. Rolander is repped by The A List Agency and managed by Kontakto Management.
