Multiplatinum award-winning Latin superstar Prince Royce‘s latest album, ALTER EGO, been certified Triple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for its sales in the United States and Puerto Rico. It is also Triple Platinum in Argentina, Gold in Mexico and Spain and Platinum in Peru.

That’s not all, ALTER EGO is nominated for a 2020 Latin GRAMMY for Best Contemporary/Tropical Fusion Album. To date, Royce has garnered fourteen Latin GRAMMY nominations.

ALTER EGO is Royce’s latest tour-de-force production, one that wonderfully expounds, both musically and lyrically, the different sides of the versatile singer-songwriter-artist: the romantic bachata crooner with lush buttery-smooth vocals we have come to know and love and then the equally impressive flip-side – his ALTER EGO. This double album clearly focused on tropical music has killer vocals that captivate in a variety of genres; from romantic bachata to more street bachata, to R&B tracks, pop, some raps with flow and urban-influenced beats.

The majority of the album was mixed by Luis Barrera Jr. and Alfredo Matheus, with the participation of Josh Gudwin, Jess Jackson, Juan Mario “Mayito” Aracil on three songs. ALTER EGO was mastered by Dave Kutch at The Mastering Palace.

Recently Prince Royce made history by setting a new all-time record for the most consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart with his bachata single “Carita de Inocente” which has remained at #1 for twenty-one weeks in a row. The song has been certified Platinum in the United States & Puerto Rico.
