There’s no doubt that SOUR is the first of many chart-topping albums to come from Rodrigo, but can we talk about how she somehow tapped into the world’s emotions with “drivers license” and “good 4 u,” “traitor” is on next level brujeria, is she spying on our love life?
We are far beyond our teenage years, but “driver’s license” made us feel some type of way, when the chorus hit, it was a spiritual awakening, goosebumps all over. There’s no doubt that Rodrigo is a phenomenal songwriter, she’s up there with the greats like Alanis Morissette, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell just to name a few.
2021 is the year of Olivia Rodrigo, looking ahead into 2022 and it’s looking like there will be no stopping her. The highly-anticipated SOUR tour will kick off on April 2nd in San Francisco, along the way she’ll make stops in Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago, New York, San Diego, Los Angeles, before heading across the pond.
