Movies Coming In 2021

Now that 2020 has come and gone, let’s take a look at what movies are coming in 2021 (post will be updated with new releases coming).

Movie theaters in many states are still closed, but that isn’t stopping movie studios and streaming services from releasing their highly-anticipated movies. Keep in mind that these movies are expected to open in theaters, but could be made available simultaneously on VOD and Digital if theaters aren’t open when their release date approaches. Here are the movies:

Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the last dragon in order to finally stop the Druun for good. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world—it’s going to take trust as well.

From directors Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada, co-directors Paul Briggs and John Ripa, producers Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho, and featuring the voices of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya and Awkwafina as Sisu. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Raya and the Last Dragon” will debut simultaneously on Disney+ Premier Access and in theatres on March 5, 2021.

In No Time To Die, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

No Time To Die is expected to be released on April 2, 2021.

In a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes, teenage Winnie seeks to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching a loveable underdog monster into a champion.

Rumble is expected to be released on May 14, 2021.

Following the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom, RESPECT is the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice.

Respect is set for an August 13, 2021 release. The movie stars Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Marc Maron, Tituss Burgess, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Skye Dakota Turner, Tate Donovan, and Mary J. Blige.

A hospice nurse takes care of terminally ill patients all while trying to move past the tragedy of having lost her daughter in a school shooting.

MELANCOLía stars Alessandra Rosaldo, Plutarco Haza, and Laura Flores, written and directed by Jorge Xolalpa Jr. An official release date is yet to be announced, we’ll keep you up to date.
