
Lumo, the rail travel experience that is kinder to the planet and better value for customers, making it a greener and more affordable choice for long-distance travel in the UK has teamed up with Paramount Animations to launch a special Smurfs train to celebrate the new animated film.
The iconic new design was celebrated at a special event at London King’s Cross Station. The all-star guest list included Rylan Clark, who plays ‘Vanity Smurf’ in the upcoming film which is released on July 18.



The newly designed train is now in regular service, providing affordable and stylish train travel for customers between Edinburgh, Morpeth, Newcastle, Stevenage and London King’s Cross. The Smurfs are widely known for promoting sustainability, something that Lumo is also passionate about. Lumo is the first operator with fully electric trains on all of its journeys, making it a staggering 25 times cleaner than flying.
The upcoming film is directed by Chris Miller and written by Pam Brady, with a star-studded cast that includes Rihanna and Xolo Maridueña, in theaters on July 18th.
