French/Venezuelan composer, singer, and pianist La Chica has released the video for her new feminist anthem “La Loba” off her forthcoming La Loba project available on January 29th.
Spread over 7 tracks, La Loba is a sparse and gripping work featuring La Chica’s piano and ghostly voice floating through electronic flourishes and minimal production subtleties leaving a beautifully eccentric and spiritual slice of art that sidesteps from her 2019 debut album Cambio.

This is a song for my women out here. Inspired by the legend of La Loba, it’s a story about recreating life and rekindling a woman’s spirit, fighting against patriarchal forces. We are powerful. Let’s stay connected to our wild nature. The witches’ awakening is real. In this video I am La Loba, I’m the witch, but I’m also the essence of women.
