Hulu’s ‘Love, Victor’ Review

We live in a world where we’re all trying to fit in, we’re trying to figure out who we are, we’re afraid of being judged, we’re afraid of living life. ‘Love, Victor,’ much like the film ‘Love, Simon’ embraces all of that and shows us that it’s okay to not know who you are, it’s okay if you don’t fit in, it’s okay to be afraid, it’s okay to be you because you are you and that makes you…YOU.

‘Love, Simon’ was a groundbreaking film for the LGBTQ community, ‘Love, Victor’ goes above and beyond. Not only will you love the series, but you’ll fall in love with the characters. You identify with each character in one way or another, it’s a beautiful, heartbreaking, shocking series. The world is going through a tough time, but ‘Love, Victor’ gives me and will give you a feeling of hope, that things will get better.

Plus, Hulu tells the story of a Latino, that in itself is groundbreaking. You don’t see many LGBTQ Latino characters, it’s quite remarkable. Hulu takes a jab at religion, people reacting to same-sex couples, you don’t see that on mainstream television, we applaud Hulu for showing us what it’s like to be an LGBTQ person, especially an LGBTQ person of color.

Life is a journey of self-discovery and that what Love, Victor does, it takes us on Victor’s life discovery…a funny, dramatic, heartbreaking journey. Love, Victor is the MUST WATCH series of 2020.
