Alex Fitts (aka The Kickdrums) and Chris Wall have returned with Lost Weekends, the new EP from their psych-tinged garage rock project, Fake Guns.
Lost Weekends consisted of three diverse tracks, each with its own charm, that unmistakably will propel the groundswell of buzz kicking up in their native New York City to a larger national audience.
“Night Time” is the perfect song to bridge those last few summer vibes and the tranquility that comes along with a cool, crisp Autumn night. The track follows a fuzzed out bassline and hypnotic drums through a field of driving guitar, uplifting synths and a series of perfect harmonies all culminating in one of the most magnetic hooks you’ll hear this year.
New York duo, Fake Guns, blurs the terrestrial and the ethereal. Equal parts visceral surf rock and dense spacey synths, they layer intricate arrangements over a driving rock-and-roll foundation to create a sound that will undoubtedly keep you moving.
