There’s no stopping him, Sonoran singer Carin León has released his new single “Primera Cita” part of his highly anticipated new album titled “Colmillo de Leche,” set to be released worldwide on May 18th.
Written by Alejandro Lozano, “Primera Cita” caught Carin’s attention from the very beginning, León said:
When I first heard this song, it immediately clicked with me because of its simplicity, its story, and because I’m a big fan of soul music. I wanted to convey something everyday that could connect with everyone.
The song talks about a couple who have just met and the beautiful, nostalgic moments they experience on that “Primera Cita” (first date). The video an original idea by León, portrays the life of a prisoner simulating a date and making a complaint to himself about why he’s locked up, with flashbacks to those moments when he didn’t value his freedom, culminating in an unexpected ending.
