Under the stars at The Ford, Brandon Flowers reminded Los Angeles why he remains one of rock’s most captivating frontmen.
The Killers’ frontman brought his unmistakable voice, charisma and larger-than-life stage presence to the historic Hollywood venue for a night that felt both intimate and cinematic. From the moment he stepped onstage, there was no question who was in charge. Flowers commanded the crowd with the confidence of a performer who has spent decades playing massive arenas, yet the setting made the night feel surprisingly personal.
What makes Flowers such a compelling performer is his ability to balance swagger with vulnerability. One moment, he’s delivering a full-throttle rock performance; the next, he’s leaning into the emotional side of his songwriting, allowing the crowd to sit with the lyrics rather than simply shouting along.
Flowers performed songs off his latest solo album “Thrasher” including “An American Dream,” “Does It Ever Cross Your Mind,” “Paradise” just to name a few. And, of course, the hits hit.
Songs off his previous solo albums were also performed including “Crossfire,” “Only The Young,” “Magdalena” off “Flamingo.” Also a couple of songs from a little band he fronts called The Killers.
The Ford provided the perfect backdrop: intimate enough to make the performance feel personal, but grand enough to match Flowers’ dramatic rock ’n’ roll presence.
