Award-winning LGBTQ+ series Our Family Pride, created and written by Glen Evelyn, will screen on September 17, 2026 as part of the Indiewood Film Festival at the iconic TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood.
The screening marks the latest milestone for the acclaimed independent series, which has earned 18 awards, including a Telly People’s Choice Award, during its festival and awards run.
Starring Garrett Clayton, Ethan Cutkosky, Nikki Roumel and Michael Nardelli, Our Family Pride explores identity, family, acceptance and the complexities of living authentically, drawing in part from Evelyn’s own experience of coming out later in life.
The project first gained industry attention with the announcement of Garrett Clayton joining the cast, followed by the additions of Ethan Cutkosky, Nikki Roumel and Lev Cameron.
For Evelyn, the upcoming Hollywood screening carries particular significance as the project continues to grow beyond its original launch and into a broader festival run.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Evelyn spent nearly 30 years in corporate America. After coming out later in life and surviving seven heart failures, he made the decision to leave his longtime career behind and pursue the creative work he had postponed for decades.
That personal reinvention became a driving force behind Our Family Pride, which examines what it means to embrace identity, family and new beginnings at different stages of life.
Following its Indiewood Film Festival screening, Our Family Pride will continue its festival run with another presentation on September 26 at Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
The Indiewood screening also comes as Evelyn expands his work into feature filmmaking with StartUp Love, a romantic comedy he co-directed with actor-filmmaker René Lavan and co-wrote with Dominic Giannetti. The film is set to have its world premiere September 25 at Cinema Diverse in Palm Springs.
With Our Family Pride arriving at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres after an 18-award run, the Indiewood presentation represents another major step for Evelyn and a project built around LGBTQ+ visibility, second chances and the idea that it is never too late to live authentically.
