Mexican/Dominican bilingual songstress, Ambar Lucid, releases her new single “Timeless” via 300/Warner Music.
The release is her third single from her upcoming sophomore album Estrella, which has been heavily influenced by her alter ego “Estrella” a state of channeling inner connection, confidence, and love within herself. Lucid said about the tracK:
it was inspired by the feeling you get when you meet someone and it feels like you’ve met them in many other lifetimes; an instant connection that is so deep that it feels like it transcends all time and space.
To celebrate the release of “Timeless,” Lucid teamed up with COLORS, the highly coveted platform that has hosted many influential artists at the beginning of their careers such as Billie Eilish, Kali Uchis, & Doja Cat. Ambar graced the COLORS stage for her debut with a glimmering vocal performance.
During a session with longtime collaborators The Wavys, who produced this track, Lucid recalls that “Timeless” was first inspired by a relationship she was in, but found a new meaning in the song through her relationship with herself; this also helped the inspiration behind the artwork that Lucid drew herself.
The purple entity is me, and the blue entity is a fictional character named ‘Lila’ that I created during one of my sessions with The Wavys. She represents my higher self, the version of myself that gives self-love, and will be a recurring character throughout this next album cycle.
