Zedd and Maren Morris Debut Target Commercial Featuring “The Middle” During the GRAMMY Awards

Target just gave fans #MoreMusic with a visually spectacular commercial during the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards featuring an amazing collaboration with GRAMMY winners, and nominees tonight, Zedd and Maren Morris, along with electronic music duo Grey, for their hot new song “The Middle.”

Directed by Dave Meyers, the spot celebrates the show’s history of unexpected performances that reach across musical genres with this exciting collaboration of electronic and country. Target has been behind several memorable GRAMMYs commercial moments over the years, delivering #MoreMusic with collaborations like a remake of a classic anthem (Lil Yachty/Carly Rae Jensen), a live music video (Gwen Stefani), and a surprise commercial break performance (Imagine Dragons). Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Target, said:

Music is—and always has been—an important part of Target’s DNA. It serves as a powerful way to connect with our guests, and over the years we’ve found ways to bring them more music and access to their favorite artists. This year, we wanted to mark the GRAMMYs’ 60th anniversary by celebrating something really special: a one-of-a-kind mashup that brings together two different genres through a song that many musical fans are already playing on repeat.

Fans will also be able to enjoy “The Middle” when it becomes part of Target’s Spring Style campaign, beginning Feb. 4. “The Middle” is now available for purchase on iTunes. Check out some fun behind the scenes photos from the commercial, below.
