Weezer Join the Hollywood Writers Strike Picket Line and Deliver Impromptu Unplugged Set

Alt/rock legends Weezer joined the Hollywood Writers Strike picket line and delivered an impromptu unplugged set, singer/guitarist Rivers Cuomo, guitarist Brian Bell and bassist Scott Shriner brought their guitars for the mini-set that included their 1994 hit “Buddy Holly” and 2005’s homage to the glamour life, “Beverly Hills.”

Weezer are just some of the celebs have joined the Hollywood Writers Strike picket lines, which seems not to be ending anytime soon. HOLLYWOOD, GET IT TOGETHER, PAY THE WRITERS!

Other celebs that have joined the picket lines include Pete Davidson (handed out pizzas in Greenpoint, Brooklyn), Ted Lasso producers/stars Jason Sudekis, Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt ( joined the Writers Guild of America picket lines), Tina Fey (picketed in New York), Fred Armisen (marched in New York on behalf of both SAG-AFTRA and the WGA), Rob Lowe (joined the picket line at Paramount Studios), Chris Pine (brought empanadas and joined the picket line), Kerry Washington (joined the picket lines in Los Angeles), Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello (picketed and performed some songs). The list of celebs joining will continue to grow, Hollywood needs to get it together.
