On Thursday, February 20th, Grammy Award-winning recording artist, actor and entrepreneur, Tip “T.I.” Harris spoke on the ‘Black Men at The Polls’ panel – a conversation alongside Andrew Gillum and moderated by Jamal Simmons – at BET Networks’ day-long social impact conference ‘META:2020.’

The engaging discussion highlighted the power of the Black male vote and explored ways to engage civic participation in the 2020 presidential election and beyond.

Tip said:

The same action yields the same results. You want more; you must do more. You have to decide for yourself to take that step, and until then you have to find ways to be helpful. If you want great, more significant change then you must take a more significant stand.

Simultaneously, Tip kicked off BET Networks’ #ReclaimYourVote campaign – a social change campaign in partnership with the National Urban League and other key national organizations, committed to increasing Black participation in the 2020 Census and the upcoming election.

TIP stars in a 30-second spot where he urges people of color to register to vote and show up at the polls. Watch the spot, below.
