2x-GRAMMY-nominated artist and producer Steve Aoki teams up with platinum-selling rapper BIA, multi-gold-certified, Opium signee Destroy Lonely, who is one of the defining voices of the current generation of rap, and influential production duo Stargate on the culture-shifting hip-hop crossover single “Young.”
The track bridges Aoki’s high-impact festival sound with the sound of rap right now, marking a bold intersection of worlds. Built around a chantable chorus, “middle fingers to the sun… living life forever young…”,“Young” blends euphoric melodies and raw hip-hop energy with arena-sized hooks, capturing the late-night freedom and unrestrained, free-spirited energy that define a generation’s most memorable moments.
The release arrives as Aoki celebrates the 30th anniversary of his influential independent label Dim Mak. Founded in 1996 from his college dorm room at UC Santa Barbara and named after his childhood hero Bruce Lee, Dim Mak helped launch groundbreaking artists including The Kills, Bloc Party, and The Gossip, and has since grown into one of electronic music’s most respected global imprints.
