Selena’s Timeless Hit “BIDI BIDI BOM BOM” Gets New Spin on “La Usurpadora: The Musical” Soundtrack

On April 7, the highly anticipated film “La Usurpadora: The Musical,” based on one of the most successful telenovelas of all time, will hit theaters in the United States (April 12 in Mexico), and accompanying the movie is a vibrant soundtrack produced by 20-time Grammy® and Latin Grammy® winner Sebastian Krys, which will be released exclusively by the renowned label Rebeleon Entertainment and Virgin Music US Latin, also on April 7.

After the release of the soundtrack’s first single, an incredible reimagining of Celia Cruz’s hit “La Vida Es Un Carnaval,” listeners can now have the next taste of the bilingual movie’s enveloping musical architecture with a refreshing new take on Selena‘s generation-defying 1994 hit “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.”

Featuring vocal support from Lorena Narcio and Alejandra Ley, this new version of “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” maintains the same lighthearted sense of fun and energy as the original, but because it is being interpreted by a man, it offers a new perspective on the song.
