MTV Renews ‘The Challenge’ for Seasons 38 and 39

Get ready for more blood, sweat, and tears.

MTV has renewed their iconic reality competition series, The Challenge for season thirty-eight and thirty-nine. Currently, production is underway for Season thirty-eight at MTV Entertainment Studios’ global production hub in Argentina.

“The Challenge” first debuted in 1998 on MTV, featuring former cast members of “Road Rules” and “The Real World” competing for a cash prize. Over the last 20 years, the reality competition show expanded and now includes former cast members from “Are You the One?,” “Big Brother,” “Survivor” and Geordie Shore” and other popular reality shows.

“The Challenge” has spawned two spin-offs, The Challenge: All-Stars is available to stream exclusively on Paramount+, CBS spinoff, “The Challenge: USA,” premieres on July 6.
