Known for their vibrant fusion of rumba, dembow, flamenco, pop, and Latin rhythms, Barcelona-based group Maruja Limón have kicked-off their second North American summer tour.
Maruja Limón are visiting various cities including La Jolla, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, and more. They bring and indispensable perspective to world music: that of rewriting historically traditional genres like Catalan rumba and flamenco from a powerful female collectivity. Their presence on global stages is not only an exercise in artistic quality, but a living testament to how avant-garde, deep roots, and female leadership transform cultural heritage into a universal language.
