Justin Wong, Punk, and Alex Jebailey Join L.A. Comic Con’s Gaming Roster for 2023 Event

Los Angeles Comic Con, L.A.’s largest event for comics, gaming, sci-fi, and pop culture, announces the addition of three iconic fighting game community (FGC) influencers to partake in LA Comic Con’s interactive fan tournaments during this year’s show, including Justin Wong, an FGC legend who has won more EVO titles than anyone else with nine tournaments victories, as well as one of the top-ranked FGC players currently in North America, Punk, and FGC organizer Alex Jebailey (known as Jebaited on Twitch).

In partnership with League Spot, fans will get a chance to play against these FGC legends in eSports-style tournaments for both Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 6 and test their skills against the best of the best. The finals will be held on L.A. Comic Con’s gaming stage in the West Hall, which will serve as the main hub for a variety of content from eSports tournaments, panel presentations, live demos, and much more.

The inclusion of the League Spot tournaments and top FGC influencers continues to reflect L.A. Comic Con’s commitment to bring more gaming elements for fans to enjoy at this year’s show. Much like last year, L.A. Comic Con’s gaming offerings will take place in the West Hall, consisting of the gaming stage, live-streaming via stream studio, a free-play area and indie gaming demos powered by The MIX. Event organizers have included an additional 100,000 square feet in the West Hall to make more room for gaming exhibitors and allow space for indie game developers to preview their future releases, giving an opportunity for the IP owners and game companies to connect with fans in LA.

L.A. Comic Con is set to take place December 1-3. Fans can purchase their 3-day passes, VIP tickets, and photo/autograph ops at comicconla.com.
