Jorge Xolalpa Launches NYTA Public Relations; Boutique Agency Opens Offices in Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City and Spain

Award-winning filmmaker, bestselling author and entrepreneur Jorge Xolalpa has officially announced the launch of NYTA Public Relations, a boutique entertainment publicity agency representing authors, musicians, filmmakers, actors, producers and creative entrepreneurs. Founded in January 2026, the company has quietly spent the past several months building an international client roster before publicly unveiling its operations.

Led by President & CEO Jorge Xolalpa, NYTA Public Relations now operates offices in Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City and Spain, providing strategic publicity, media relations, brand development and campaign management while creating employment opportunities for publicists, media strategists, communications professionals and creative personnel across its four international offices.

Best known as the creator of Strangelove and the founder of Mighty Aphrodite Pictures, Xolalpa launched the agency after experiencing firsthand the challenges of finding representation that truly understood the vision, pace and realities of independent creators.

While preparing the national media campaign for his bestselling memoir, Xolalpa searched for a publicity firm that understood not only the project, but the long-term vision behind it. Unable to find an agency that approached publicity from the perspective of a working creator, he decided to build one himself.

Xolalpa said:

I’ve spent the last decade pitching films, books and creative projects while building my own career from the ground up. I know what it’s like to hear ‘no,’ to fight for every opportunity and to create without the backing of a major studio, publisher or record label. NYTA was born from that experience. We don’t just understand publicity—we understand what it takes to build something worth talking about.

Unlike traditional entertainment publicity firms, NYTA Public Relations was founded by a working filmmaker and author who has navigated every stage of the creative process—from financing productions and publishing books to organizing national press tours and building brands independently.

Since its launch earlier this year, the agency has assembled a growing roster of clients across publishing, music, film and television. Current clients include actress Fernanda Romero, film director Kiki Meléndez, actress Bruna Rubio, Miss Panama Brenda Lezama Smith, recording artist Jandrou, author Alix Dick, authors Griselda Torres and Mateo Rodríguez, along with an expanding roster of actors, filmmakers, musicians, producers and literary voices.

Beyond securing interviews, feature stories and media placements, NYTA Public Relations is investing in the future of the communications industry by creating employment opportunities across its four offices. The agency continues to expand its team of publicists, media strategists, communications specialists and support staff as it grows its international presence and client portfolio.

The agency provides a full range of publicity and communications services, including media relations, entertainment publicity, press strategy, film and television campaigns, book launches, music releases, awards campaigns, interview booking, brand development, crisis communications and national and international media outreach.

Xolalpa added:

Success isn’t measured by the number of headlines we generate. It’s measured by the careers we help build, the doors we help open and the opportunities we create—not only for our clients, but also for the talented professionals who are helping shape the future of this company.

With operations now spanning four international markets, NYTA Public Relations plans to continue expanding its team, growing its global footprint and representing the next generation of storytellers whose voices deserve to be heard on the world stage.
