We can finally say that we’ve interviewed an American Idol, a true idol, Maddie Poppe.
Earlier this year she captivated America with her charisma and superb vocals. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, we had the opportunity to talk to Maddie about new music, who she’d like to work with, and when we can expect a full album during the 17th annual Citadel Outlets Tree Lighting Concert.
Before you watch the video, we’ll be 100 percent honest. We (meaning, I) were a bit nervous interviewing Maddie. Not only is she the American Idol winner, but she also has a star presence that makes you say “WOW.” Being the first person to interview her can be a bit nerve-wracking, even more so when you have a stutter and you’re trying your best to say words that won’t make you stutter.
Let’s just say that things did get a bit awkward when the stutter appeared, but Maddie was a total sweetheart about it. That’s the reason why you see me say “I’m blanking out,” in reality, the stutter was about to take over and I had to do a transition. Watch the interview below and let me know what you think!
