Curacao and Omar Chaparro to Unveil 20ft Art Piece Celebrating the Union of the Hispanic Culture to the Variety Boys & Girls Club in Los Angeles

The Curacao Foundation, a non-profit organization created in 2002 by Hispanic-centric retailer Curacao serving diverse communities in Southern California, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Tucson, will unveil and donate a 20-feet art piece celebrating the cultures, diversity, and history of the Hispanic community to the Variety Boys & Girls Club in Los Angeles.

Comprised of two canvases, this unique piece was commissioned to Mexican artist Teddy Kelly and Puerto Rican artist Dan Monteavaro (known as “Moncho 1929”) and exhibited in multiple Curacao stores across Southern California as part of Curacao’s “Let’s Celebrate Your Cultura!” campaign, which took place during Hispanic Heritage Month.

To wrap up this highly successful art initiative, the piece will be unveiled at an upcoming high-profile event hosted by award-winning Mexican actor Omar Chaparro at the Variety Boys & Girls Club before children from the Club’s art program, their parents, and special guests. The artwork will then become part of the Club’s permanent collection.

Besides acting as the master of ceremonies, Chaparro will interact with the participants, who will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend time with an artist whose blockbuster movies have turned him into one of the most recognizable personalities among Hispanics in both the U.S. and Latin America.
