Prime Video’s highly-anticipated lucha libre film, CASSANDRO is now in select theaters, it will be available for streaming exclusive on Prime Video on Sept. 22.
Gael García Bernal stars as Saúl Armendáriz, a gay amateur wrestler from El Paso who creates the character Cassandro, the “Liberace of Lucha Libre.” In the process, he upends not just the macho wrestling world, but also his own life.
Based on a true story. Directed by Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams.
In addition to Bernal, it also features the talents of Bad Bunny, El Hijo del Santo and, Joaquín Cosío and Raúl Castillo.
