It’s been announced that Avicii’s parents will inherit his $25 million fortune following his sudden death in April 2018.
According to Swedish documents, Avicii did not leave a will before his sudden death, but according to Swedish law, whatever remains of his financial estate after national and international tax debts would go to his parents as he was not married, nor did he father any children. His Los Angeles home was sold off-market for $17.5 million according to public records via the LA Times.
Avicii was quite charitable before his sudden death, in 2011 he founded House For Hunger, donated $1 million via ticket sales to Feeding America, and also gave €1 million to Swedish charity Radiohjalpen and $60,000 to the FEED Foundation. He worked closely with (RED) in their cause to raise awareness for, fight the spread of, and increase the care options for those living with HIV and AIDS.
