“Mares de Miel” advances unstoppably on the rails of a brilliant melody, propelled by a rhythm of flamenco that doesn’t need to enforce the southern accent. Sanz manages the powers of the score with intelligence. He doses the mystery of a suggestive lyric that reaches close to the heart, before exploding into one of those verses that stick since the very first time you hear it.
