Disney has found their Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim. They will portray the leads in the forthcoming live-action adaptation of Tangled.
Croft and Manheim will take over the roles. Mandy Moore and Zachary Levy originally lent their voices to these characters in the 2010 Disney animated movie. There is no word on who will portray the villain role of Mother Gothel. Scarlett Johansson was considered for the role. However, she’s no longer interested.
Nathan Greno and Byron Howard directed the 2010 animated Tangled. It was a modern retelling of the classic Rapunzel fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. In it, Rapunzel is a spirited young princess with magical, golden hair. She escapes from her isolated tower for the first time to experience the world. She embarks on an adventure with a charming thief. Rapunzel discovers her true identity and faces the dangerous truth about the woman who kept her captive.
