“El Corrido” rests on emotional ground: distance, uprooting, and the wear of maintaining bonds when everyday life falls apart. The track incorporates elements of the Mexican corrido—guitars, storytelling, melancholy—to tell a contemporary story. Both artists experiment with the traditional corrido structure to reflect a very current reality: how hard it is to maintain a connection at a distance, and how easy it is to fall into the traps of appearances.
