Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave has died at the age of 52.
According to TMZ, Cornell’s body was found in his hotel room at MGM Grand Detroit after Soundgarden’s show Wednesday night. Cornell’s wife allegedly called a family friend to check on the singer.
The family friend reportedly forced his way into Cornell’s room where he discovered Cornell’s body. According to police, Cornell was found with a band around his neck, based on the scene, police suspect it was suicide.
A true rock and roll legend, gone but never forgotten, R.I.P. Chris Cornell.
