Queens-born artist, Poiison, celebrates the 10th anniversary of her first release with new mixtape La Madrina Vol. 2 – now available to stream exclusively on SoundCloud.
The 13-track mixtape arrives with two brand new songs – “Stupid” and “I’m Ready.” It also features reimagined covers of popular music. Some of these include “Went Legit,” “WGFT,” and “Somebody Loves Me,” among others.
La Madrina Vol. 2 is the second installment of a project rooted in nostalgia, a return to Poiison’s freestyle era. It sets the tone for a larger body of work due later this year. More importantly, the mixtape serves as a special treat to her most engaged fans. Vol. 2 harkens back to where it all started – the platform that helped launch her career: SoundCloud.
