Conexión Divina Releases “Prefiero,” an Anthem of Resilience and Self-Love

Conexión Divina channels power and self-love in “Prefiero,” a nostalgic track about emotional independence following a difficult romantic period. The single is available today across all digital platforms.

Written by Liz Trujillo, alias Conexión Divina, “Prefiero” stands out for its haunting string arrangement that underscores the emotional weight behind toxic relationships and their resolution through self-love and self-determination. As the artist puts it: “I prefer my heart over games and ego.”

The intimate and vulnerable composition becomes an anthem of healing and self-discovery. The string arrangements amplify the emotional intensity of the message, creating an atmosphere that envelops listeners in the depth of the healing and self-awareness process.

In this declaration of emotional independence, Liz opens the door to a journey of personal growth, sharing an intimate confession about feeling taken for granted while closing the chapter on a toxic relationship that paved the way for self-worth.

‘Prefiero’ is a song I wrote about choosing self-love while in a toxic relationship. I’ve been in relationships that made me feel worthless, accepting dishonesty and the pain just for loving someone,” Liz reveals about the track. “There was a time in my life when I allowed everything they did to me, thinking love meant I had to endure it all. But eventually you realize that, no matter how hard you try, they’re not going to change… and that just consumes you. I learned I needed to choose myself, regain my voice, and not allow anyone else to have control over me. I chose to listen to my heart, because in the end of the day, that’s what I prefer.
