Breaking Glass Pictures will release the explosive new action-drama Contention on March 3, 2026.
Written and directed by Bruce Gardner, the 92-minute thriller delivers a gripping story of betrayal, vengeance, and family loyalty pushed to the breaking point.
Contention follows two stepbrothers who have grown apart — Chris Couture and Stewart Shepard — now locked on opposite sides of a brutal moral divide. Chris Couture (Bill Houskeeper, A Soldier’s Secret) is a manipulative and power-hungry force who must control everything and everyone in his world. He will stop at nothing — murder, kidnapping, drugs — to get what he wants.
On the other side stands Stewart (Vinny Giovanniello, The Request, Press One, Mr. Robot, The Deuce), a good soul driven by grief and determined to avenge the murder of the woman he once loved. As mysterious players emerge and tensions escalate, the brothers’ conflict spirals toward a surprising and explosive final confrontation.
Edward W Johnson (Spilled Paint) co-stars as Jeremy, adding further depth to the film’s escalating drama.
