Adele has released her new highly anticipated single “Skyfall”, the official anthem for the new 007 film Skyfall set for a November 8th release.

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, “Skyfall” features the lush accompaniment of a 77-piece orchestra.

Pop superstar Adele has announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon. She posted the following message on her website:

Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards took place earlier this evening live from the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

The night’s big winner was Adele, who took home twelve awards including “Top Female Artist”, “Top Billboard 200 Album- 21“, “Top Streaming Song (Audio)- Rolling In The Deep”. Party-rockers, LMFAO took home six awards including: “Top Duo/Group”, “Top Pop Song”, “Top Digital Song”, “Top 100 Song” all for their smash hit single “Party Rock Anthem”.

Coldplay and Lil Wayne received four awards each, while Casting Crowns, Jason Aldean and Lady Gaga each nabbed two awards. Justin Bieber took home “Top Social Artist” honors, Taylor Swift was presented with the “Woman of the Year” award.

The late great Whitney Houston received the Millenium Award and Stevie Wonder was honored with the Billboard Icon Award.

Uk songstress Adele turns 24 today (may 5th).

The supertalented singer and songwriter kicked off her career with a bang, receiving two Grammy awards in 2009 for her first album, 19. Fast forward to 2012, and she’s one of the top selling female artist of the decade!!

Adele leads the pack with 18 nominations, Rihanna, LMFAO come in second with 11 nominations each. Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry all received a handful of nominees as well.

Top New Artist category is full of fresh talent, Bad Meets Evil, Big Sean, Foster the People, Scotty McCreery and Wiz Khalifa.

Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, LMFAO and The Wanted have been announced as performers. More performers are set to be announced soon.

The awards will reflect Billboard‘s chart rankings based on key fan interactions with music, including album sales and downloads, track downloads, radio airplay and touring as well as streaming and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Vevo, Youtube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music.
