American Idol 10 Winner Set To Release Debut Album!

American Idol 10 Winner Set To Release Debut Album!

American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery is set to release his debut album Clear As Day on October 4th.

The album is being produced by Mark Wright (Rascall Flatts, Carrie Underwood). Well-known country music writers that contributed to Scotty’s debut LP including; Neil Thrasher (Rascall Flatts), Craig Wiseman (Kenny Chesney) and Aussie country super star Keith Urban.

“I Love You This Big” which is both his Idol coronation song and album’s lead single has kicked-off Scotty’s career in a big way. The song became the highest-charting debut for a new country artist (#32 on the Billboard Hot Country charts) since 1990. Pretty impressive, and he’s only 17-years old, wow!

During a recent interview Scotty had this to say about his debut album:

Clear as Day is definitely country and it’s definitely me. It has some old country influences and elements, but it also has a contemporary feel with fun up-tempo songs. It’s a good mixture. You can hear some of the influences that I grew up with, like Hank Williams, Conway Twitty and Merle Haggard, but it still has a contemporary twist and feel that keeps it up to date.”

We can’t wait to listen to his debut album, but in the meantime cheek out the album artwork & track-list for Clear As Day, below.
