…all we can say is ouch! Video has just been released of tennis player Rafael Nadal “collapsing” during a press conference. The reason for the collapse? Severe leg cramps.
Everything was going smootly during Sunday’s US Open press conference, until the last couple of minutes when Rafael leaned back in his chair with obvious pain in his face. The pain was so strong that he eventually slid out of his chair on to the floor. The press room was eventually cleared out to make room for medics that treated Nadal’s pain.
Five minutes later the press conference resumed and Rafael said he was feeling better. He stated, “I just have cramping in front and behind. That’s why I, was so painful. That’s all.” Later during the day Andy Roddick, who also participated in the US Open, voiced in on the situation, “It’s just something that happens. It’s just unfortunate it happened in front of you all. Every single player in there has had that happen before. Every single one.“
We’re glad to hear Rafael is doing better, we know those leg cramps can be horrible. Click read more to see the video of Rafael collapsing during the press conference.
